Prayer Shawl Ministry

Our ministry started with prayer shawls and has grown by adding other projects to share God’s love. You become a part of this ministry by praying, donating , doing support work or making items. Thanks for your time and help!!! The following is our current update.
Update – December 2018.
- We gave 116 scarves and 18 winter hats to the Fish & Loaves Ministry to give to the homeless on October 7.
- Palmerdale Methodist Disaster Team was given 5 baby blankets and 10 shawls in November for storm victims. We are making items for another trip soon.
- We need baby yarn. Donations of baby yarn can be left in the Prayer Chapel or checks can be made to Palmerdale Methodist with notation of Prayer Shawl Ministry.
- Angel Gowns are currently being made for a Palmerdale Methodist Disaster Warehouse trip in January or February. To donate a wedding gown, please bring it to the church office or email [email protected] to set up a meeting time and place. Thanks for all your help, prayers and support!!!
Update – July 2018. We took 18 Angel gowns to the warehouse in Decatur, and 6 more are ready for our next trip. We are working on scarves for the homeless ministry; we’ll have 100 or more by the first Sunday in October. We keep 2 boy & 2 girl baby blankets for Dallas to give out as needed and we give 4 or more blankets to Positive Choices each month (we also donate diapers to this group). We have plenty of prayer shawls. God is blessing us and we are blessing others in Jesus’ name.
